Three New Textures From Ophir Atelier
This week we’re introducing three new designs from the atelier, each built around a single idea: elevation. Not just visually, but physically. Fabric lifted, layered, and given dimension you can feel before you see.
The Ruby Mushroom
A 3D textile built on a foundation of 0.8cm ruby red straw beads, domed and raised across red viscose tulle. On top, we set metallic ruby red sequins and 2mm ruby red seed beads in clusters spanning roughly 3 inches, repeated across the fabric to create a field of raised, faceted forms.

The Powder Blue Flower Stem
Stems rendered in iridescent gunmetal and midnight blue bugle beads against sky blue tulle, with the flowers themselves built up in elevated sky blue bugle beads and cap crystals. Before any beading began, the base was hand stitched with foam to create lift, giving the finished flowers a soft dimensionality and a sense of movement across the fabric.

The Saggy Chain Crystal Work
A piece close to our history, a custom reinterpretation of an earlier design, the Diamond Sultress, from when we first began creating exclusive custom embroidery. Originally made in gold and silver, this version was created for a client in silver and orange, using 4,500 meters of chain crystal in both colors. Sequins and sand beads bridge the two colorways throughout. Laid flat, the fabric looks composed and quiet, but lifted, the chains hang with a loose, saggy movement, each color catching light independently as the wearer moves.

More to come as the team continues pushing what these techniques can do
